Sunday, May 25th, 2014

It was a beautiful day today! So a drive along the coast with a stop in  Rosemary Beach was in order!

Coastal Life- For Now or Forever? { A Visit From My Brother }

Sunday, March 2nd, 2014

It’s hard for me to imagine not living within a short drivable distance to the coast. For the past 7 years I have lived coastal.  But I have slowly been moving away. And by slowly I mean 2.5 blocks to 1 mile to now a 25 min drive. It’s so hard for me to stay in the same place for too long.  Maybe I suffer from  wanderlust. (Ok I know I suffer from wanderlust.)  I have a hard time staying put. I find a new place. I like it. I move there. Currently I live in the Florida panhandle.  I will be honest, I do not love Florida. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great place to visit. And there are some really exciting places to hang out – (umm Miami ~ Key West – yes please)!  But I don’t live there. I kinda live in an area that’s let’s say slower pace & more secluded from the city life I prefer to have close by.  (there is not Apple Store within less then a 4hr drive – need I say more?!)  OK so NW Florida is just not for me.  But while I search for the next place to call home, it’s not time wasted. I found a great coastal drive down the 30a with fantastic spots to hang out (and take photographs).

When friends & family come to visit, this is where I like to take them with a drive through Rosemary Beach . . .

A slight detour west to visit a quiet & soo pretty view at Blue Mountain Beach by Grayton Beach . . .

(taken when Tom from Colorado came to visit )

Then onto my most favorite of beach spots….

When a few weeks ago  my “little” brother (who lives in Philly) finally made it down to visit. He was here for work, but since it was a two week trip it gave us a chance to hang out a little & for me to take him to visit my favorite spot on the coastal tour – Seaside, FL . (Some of you may remember images I shared a few weeks back). It has all my favorite things – great coastal views, unique fun locally-run shops & good eats!  And yes! By good eats I mean these crazy yum semi-perm food trucks that have the tastiest melted cheese sandwiches with avocado and bbq pulled pork sandwiches with spice baked beans – oops I digress! Yes umm right – Seaside, FL  . . .

And yes behind the sunglasses and the long beard is my brother, Adam & it was actually chilly out that day. It was only in the 50’s 😉

It was a nice visit from Adam but way too short of course.  But check out the 180 view! Now you see why not-being coastal is such a hard concept for me to grasp.  With gorgeous days like this it’s hard to imagine living anywhere but by the ocean.  Then again . . . there are so many other places out there I have yet to fall in love with  . . . .

So to stay coastal forever or just for now?  Where is your favorite place spot in the US??

Vacation Via Instagram { Panama City Florida }

Thursday, August 16th, 2012

Last year my parents made a big move from eastern Pennsylvania to northwestern Florida. A few weeks ago it became official when they moved into their brand new house. So I decided to take a little break {and you know I love a good road trip!} to go & visit. I didn’t take too many professional photographs but I thought I would share a few snap shots to show you how beautiful the area is.

A little trip to Rosemary Beach – this awesome mini town with emerald blue waters, soft white sands, wooden walkways & cute little boutique shops.

A little First Friday Street Festival in downtown Panama City, Fl with my parents & my new friend, Louis. Saw some cool old cars & trucks, a giant antique shop & had my first gator on a stick – yum!

One of my favorite places, St Andrew’s Marina for their Saturday morning farmer’s market before the storm approaches.
